Internal networking issues impacting our systems

Incident Report for Red Sift UK

Postmortem

Networking Disruption

Date: 10 July

Status: Resolved

On 10 July, Red Sift experienced a brief disruption affecting portions of our DNS and traffic routing infrastructure. Some customers may have observed intermittent service degradation during this period.

Our investigation confirmed that the issue originated from a malfunctioning networking component on two backend systems responsible for traffic handling. As a result, network communication through these systems became unstable.

Once identified, our engineering team acted immediately to restore normal operation. The affected component was restarted, and service stability returned shortly thereafter. We continued to monitor performance to ensure full recovery across all services.

We can confirm that:

  • All customer data remained secure and intact,
  • No configuration changes were required from customers, and
  • All impacted systems are fully operational.

As part of our ongoing commitment to reliability, we are implementing an update to the networking layer involved to mitigate the risk of recurrence.

We apologise for any inconvenience this incident may have caused and remain committed to delivering a high-availability, enterprise-grade service experience. If you require further information, please reach out to your Red Sift account representative or our support team.
